Søren Ottosen

Søren Ottosen, PhD is an experienced drug hunter with almost 20 years’ experience in therapeutic oligonucleotides. With an academic background in molecular virology and gene expression regulation from Michigan State University and NYU School of Medicine, he has worked on nucleic acid-based medicines for major pharmaceutical companies (Roche, Bayer) and biotech (Santaris Pharma, Sixfold Biosciences) as a research scientist, a strategist and a deal maker. He has consulted with vendors, academics and investors through his own company (Soren Ottosen Innovation) to enable good strategy and decision-making for nucleic acid-based therapies at every step of the value chain. In addition to scientific and drug discovery contributions, he is an experienced mentor and peer-ship coach, guiding both individuals, teams and organizations to adapt to a changing career, project and discovery landscape.
