Crystal Jin

Crystal Jin is a passionate and self-driven biotechnology entrepreneur with a strong background in molecular pharmacology and structural biology. As the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bound Therapeutics, Crystal has been instrumental in developing and commercializing a groundbreaking miRNA/RNA therapeutics platform aimed at treating aggressive cancers.
With over a decade of experience in the biotech industry, Crystal has successfully led the research and development of multiple lead molecules, managed collaborations with Contract Research Organizations (CROs), and secured government funding through a Small Business Technology Transfer Grant. She has deep expertise in tissue-specific delivery of RNA therapeutics, as well as in utilizing AI/ML for peptide ligand design. Crystal’s expertise extends to patent strategy, having supported the drafting and development of key patents in the field of RNA therapeutics.
Crystal holds a PhD in Molecular Pharmacology and Structural Biology from Thomas Jefferson University, where she developed a groundbreaking platform to inhibit oncogenic miRNAs and played a key role in discovering miRNA passenger strand activity. Her academic and professional journey is distinguished by a strong foundation in molecular biology, drug discovery, and bioinformatics.
In addition to her scientific achievements, Crystal is recognized for her leadership skills, having played a pivotal role in building strategic partnerships and negotiating licensing agreements with leading institutions. Her dedication to innovation and excellence in biotechnology continues to drive the success of Bound Therapeutics.
